Currently, the institute offers 24 undergraduate programs in full-time, evening, and distance learning formats, as well as 17 master's degree specializations for training pedagogical personnel.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, the institute operates with three faculties (Exact and Natural Sciences, Pedagogy, and Social Sciences) and 10 departments (Preschool Education, Primary Education, Pedagogy and Psychology, Natural Sciences, Exact Sciences, Art Pedagogy, Humanities, Philology, European Languages, and Physical Education and Sports).

At present, 170 professors and teachers work at the institute, including 10 doctors of sciences and professors, 71 candidates of sciences (PhD) and associate professors, with an academic capacity of 47.6%.

  As of January 2025, the total number of students at the institute is 7,807, including 4,451 full-time undergraduate students, 2,371 part-time students, 592 evening students, and 393 master's degree students.

The institute has developed a strategic plan designating 2023 as the "Year of Revival," 2024 as the "Year of Development," 2025 as the "Year of Progress," and 2026 as the "Year of Advancement."

  From the 2024/2025 academic year, the curriculum for specialized subjects has been improved and implemented based on educational programs from leading universities in Germany, the USA, the UK, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Russia, which are ranked in the TOP-300 universities worldwide.   

A "4+2" internship system has been introduced, and educational-methodological centers have been established in district centers to enhance students' practical training. To provide educational literature, faculty members are developing new-generation textbooks.

The institute has established academic and scientific collaborations with higher education institutions in Turkey, Finland, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Over the past period, 42 professors and teachers have participated in professional development and scientific internships abroad.

A specialized academic council, PhD.03/27.09.2024.ped.184.01, operates under the institute to award the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in pedagogical sciences. Qualification examination commissions for "Theory and History of Pedagogy," "Pedagogical Technology," and "Pedagogical Mastery" have been authorized. Additionally, six doctoral (PhD, DSc) specializations have been established for postgraduate education, including doctoral and independent research programs.

The institute's scientific-methodological journal, Education and Development, has been included in the list of national scientific publications recommended for publishing key research findings of PhD and Doctor of Science (DSc) candidates in pedagogical sciences.

The institute has a student campus with a capacity of 1,234 students, featuring a mini football stadium, workout area, volleyball stadium, cafeteria, fitness hall, karaoke club, library, and computer lab to ensure students’ meaningful leisure time.

Students actively participate in the country’s social, political, and cultural life, achieving remarkable successes. For instance, Masturaxon Nabikhonova, a student of the English Language and Literature program, was awarded the "Builder of the Future" medal by the President of Uzbekistan in 2024 and won the national "Reform Expert" competition. Students of the Physical Education program have achieved major sports accomplishments:

Fazliddin Erkinboyev (boxing, 72 kg) – 3-time Asian and 2-time World Champion

Asadbek Jo‘raboyev (football) – Member of the national youth team and 2023 Asian Cup winner

Abbosbek Ahmadjonov (belt wrestling) – 5-time Uzbekistan, 2-time Asian, and 1-time World Champion

Jamoliddin Ne’matullayev – 2-time Uzbekistan, 2-time Asian, and 2-time World Champion

In 2024, Matluba Aliyeva (Fine Arts and Engineering Graphics) was awarded the Islam Karimov State Scholarship, while Madina Toshmatova and Odina G‘ulomova (Foreign Language and Literature) received the Navoi State Scholarship.

To promote green energy, solar panels capable of generating 144.1 kWh of electricity per hour have been installed on the institute’s academic buildings and student dormitories, with plans to transition entirely to green energy in the future.
