Online meeting on Uzbekistan–Japan educational cooperation held

An online meeting was held at Namangan State Pedagogical Institute with the participation of the Institute’s Rector Bahodir Khusanov, Deputy Governor of Namangan Region for Youth Policy, Social Development and Spiritual and Educational Affairs Otabek Bozorov, field specialists, as well as experts from Japan’s Moralogy Foundation.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on “Cooperation in education and moral education based on Japan’s educational experience.” The discussions focused on harmonizing Japan’s advanced educational practices with Uzbekistan’s national values and the traditions of family and mahalla.

Particular attention was paid to the integration of education and character development, character education through school life based on Tokkatsu, the methodology of moral education, enhancement of teachers’ professional skills, development of school culture and the educational environment, as well as international exchange through WorldClassroom.

In addition, proposals were put forward to gradually pilot advanced practices in 5–10 schools in Namangan Region, establish teacher teams, assess changes in the educational process and school environment, and widely disseminate successful practices.

The meeting marked an important step toward further strengthening educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan and developing a modern and sustainable model of education and character development by harmonizing advanced international experience with national values.
